Gluten-Free Feature Friday: Wildtree's Certified Gluten-Free Product Line


I sure love to cook! If you follow my Instagram, I am sure that has become quite obvious! There's something so gratifying about being able to create a delicious meal from your own perfectly measured ingredients!

But in this busy day and age, sometimes it's nice to have a little help!!

And when you must abide by a gluten-free diet, finding said help is THAT much harder...

When I came across Wildtree (a direct-sales, organic culinary company) and their entire product line of certified gluten-free herbs, blends, sauces, and meals, I felt such a sigh of relief!

With their certified gluten-free products, whipping up delicious, healthy (and safe) meals have become that much simpler!

SERIOUSLY!!


I was able to try out some of their gluten-free sauces and mixes, and with them made 3 delicious meals with MINIMAL effort! However, the end results made it seem like I had slaved away for hours!

The Wildtree products featured:
Rancher Steak Rub
Sweet N' Savory Pineapple Sauce
Rosemary and Garlic Marmalade Sauce
Gluten-Free Bread Mix
Roasted Garlic Grapeseed Oil

The meals included:

1. Crock Pot Rosemary & Garlic Chicken on Garlic Quinoa Pilaf
There is nothing I love more than simple, easy cock pot meals (which is why I have an entire Pinterest board dedicated to them!) With this meal, I simply put 2 frozen chicken breasts in the crock pot and covered them with the Rosemary and Garlic Marmalade Sauce. I set the crock pot to "low" and when I walked through the door after work, I was met with the wondrous aroma of rosemary and garlic chicken! I whipped up a quick quinoa pilaf with a drizzle of Roasted Garlic Grapeseed Oil and finished off the meal with mashed potatoes and steamed veggies! 

2. Hawaiian BBQ Meatball Sub with Sauteed Garlic Spinach
Some days I just crave a good, hearty meatball sub! So when Anthony surprised me with a huge bag of these grass-fed, gluten-free meatballs (we are the epitome of sappy, romantic gifts, let me tell ya!), my mind immediately went to meatball subs! With Wildtree's Sweet N' Savory Pineapple Sauce, I had the idea of making a scrumptious spin-off of the old-time-favorite meatball marinara. To make the Hawiian BBQ Meatball Sub, I put about half the bag of meatballs in the crock pot with the pineapple sauce and a bottle of BBQ sauce. After letting that cook on "low" all day, I threw a gluten-free sub bun in the oven to toast. I also sauteed some spinach with the Roasted Garlic Grapeseed Oil. Once the bun was toasted, I stuffed it with 3 meatballs and smothered them in the sauce from the bottom of the crock pot. The result was a delicious meatball sub that rivals any traditional marinara!

3. Rancher Salmon with Sauteed Garlic Brussels Sprouts
Years ago, I was deadly afraid to cook fish... I thought that it was too difficult to cook and would just turn out terrible. However, now I find baking salmon to be one of the simplest and quickest way to whip up a healthful dinner! A good 10 minutes in the oven and out comes a juicy, delectable fish that is full of healthy omega-3's (yum yum!) Sprinkling the salmon with some of the Rancher Steak Rub really helps enhance the flavor of the salmon in one quick step! While the salmon bakes, I sauteed halved Brussels Sprouts in the Roasted Garlic Grapeseed Oil. The two dishes paired created an incredible flavor profile! 

You might be wondering what that loaf of bread is doing in the background? Well, that is made from Wildree's Gluten-Free Bread Mix! And let me tell you, this bread is one of the BEST gluten-free breads I have ever tried! Scratch that! One of the best breads I have ever tried. Period! (And believe me, I have tried a lot of breads in my day...)
This bread was so simple to make and it was so moist and savory! Not at all crumbly and dry like typical gluten-free breads! As soon as I took a bite I immediately told Anthony that he needed to try this bread! (And I did save a piece for him to try, after which he agreed to the bread's insane awesomeness!)

I would like to play around with trying a pumpkin or chocolate chip zucchini bread with this mix! These are by far my most missed breads since going gluten-free. I use to bake breads all the time, and I am so glad that Wildtree has come along to help me re-kinder this long lost pastime!

I have been SO impressed by Wildtree's Certified Gluten-Free products! And more products are added to their gluten-free line all the time, so you can always find something new and exciting to try (next on my radar is that Very Berry Cheesecake Mix!)
