The Perfect Blend

Summers is upon us friends! That means it's time to take our workouts outside for some sweat and sunshine!

Here in St. Louis, there's certainly not a shortage of outdoor activities! So a few of my fellow classmates and I set out on this beautiful morning to partake in Pilates in the Park!!

After a quite intense Pilates session (with a few months off, I was definitely a bit rusty) I knew nothing would be more refreshing than a delicious smoothie!

I thought I'd share with you all one of my personal favorite smoothie recipes! Not only is it super yummy, but its the prefect blend (forgive the pun) of vitamins, minerals,  and protein.

So, without further delay:

Strawberry Banana Smoothie

1 whole banana
1/2 cup of frozen strawberries
Handful of spinach
4 generous scoops of Greek yogurt (plain or vanilla)

Put all ingredients but water into the blender. Fill up to about the tip of the ingredients with water. Cover blender and pulse until desired consistency. Enjoy!

If you want your smoothie a bit thicker, add more frozen strawberries. If you'd like it thinner,  add more water.
Don't let the green look of the smoothie get 'cha,  it's better than any drive thru smoothie!
